- We are paid by commission, not by you. If you take out a product through a link here, the provider may pay us. The price you pay is the same as going direct.
- Commission does not decide the running order. Providers are not able to buy position, and pages that criticise a provider carry the same links as any other.
- Figures come from the provider’s own terms. Not from other comparison sites, which are frequently out of date. Each page shows when its figures were last checked.
- We are not a broker or an adviser. We do not generate quotes and we do not give regulated financial advice. More about who runs this site.
Before you renew anything
- Loyalty is penalised. Set a reminder 3–4 weeks before an insurance or energy renewal and compare then — that window is when the market is open to you.
- The headline price is not the price. Check the excess on insurance, exit fees on savings and finance, and the contract length on mobiles and broadband.
- Check what a bundle actually saves. Combining buildings and contents, or broadband and TV, sometimes discounts and sometimes just simplifies the bill.
